Eggstravaganza! Easter Egg Hunt at Garfield Park
An Easter tradition that brings many memories back for teens and new memories to kids. The Eggstravaganza takes place every year at Garfield park, this year on April 20th. This joyful event brought back many families to enjoy the easter egg hunt and the springtime events for all ages. The goal was to find the golden egg and win the bike you always dreamed about. There were many activities for all ages such as egg hunts, art crafts, photos with the Easter Bunny, inflatables, and more. Councilmember Bob Joe was present to try all the fun activities and interview the ambitious egg hunters.
Ready, set, go, the ribbon is cut and all kids go ballistic to collect the most amount of eggs. In about five to ten minutes all the eggs are gone including the golden egg. The children go to their parents to count their eggs and gather their candy. Many generous kids offer a small portion for their earning to other children who were unable to get any eggs. The focal point of it all was kids celebrating this momentous holiday with family.
